Those are some sweet looking dice. The pic's a bit blurry, though: what are those symbols on the sides of the dice faces?

Looks awesome!

I think the symbols on the borders are two pen nibs and two open linking books, Volk. But that's just my guess haha!

You guessed correctly :)

Do I see 2 adjacent plus signs on the die in the background? Axial Zero? Extra nice. For those not sure what Axial Zero is, it means no matter how the die is turned, all 4 sides add to zero. If the arrangement is +-+- then the blank side sum could be +2 or -2 which means you could hold and roll the dice in such a way as to influence the outcome. Axial Zero prevents that. It's why normal dice have opposite sides always adding to 7 - Axial 14.

Will we be able to purchase these dice after release, should we find that they are necessary for playing or getting into the game well? I haven't added them to my order (if it's not too late), but if I run a campaign and my players need or want them, would I be able to add them?

I, too, would love to get a set of these dice when they are available. Any word?

At the moment, we have no plans for dice beyond our initial run for the KS add-ons. That may change in the future - we'll definitely let people know if it does.

Thanks, Scott, for keeping us in the loop, RE: the future availability of your dice. Q: Can we use Fudge/Fate dice in the same we would use the dice you developed for your KS? IOW, would using them allow us to get the same types of results as your dice? Thanks!

Our Fate dice are like any other Fate dice - we just added some graphical elements that we felt was in line with Myst.

Any Fate/Fudge dice will work. If you can't wait for Fate dice, I suggest you check out the packs that Evil Hat sells. They have very nice stuff: http://www.evilhat.com/home/fate-dice/

There's also a sidebar in the book that talks about alternatives to Fate dice.
