That's it. Such idea and it's impications is bugging me for quite some time even before (or after, don't remember - separatedly) discovering of Myst series.

Imagine, every minute spent inside of this Age equals minus one minute outside.

I mean, it is unknown, or impossible by laws of Multiverse, or just not tested hypothesis?

Canonically, very unlikely. Time seems pretty immutable in the D'niverse. The implication that Yeesha can link through time in Uru is a huge deal, meaning she's broken some very fundamental rule.

Hm... But what that means to said rules? That the rules means not as much, as they were credited or that her genious surpassed limitations, staying within rules (some loopholes, maybe)?

How it can be 'fundamental rule' if someone broke it, at least once? Even if it's some genious, like Yeesha. If she can, everyone can. With practice.

Anyway, thanks for answer.

It would depend on if Yeesha breaks the rule just by understanding how to break it, or if she does it because of something in her nature by virtue of being The Grower. Sorta like the difference between developing a teleporter, and being Nightcrawler (*bamf*).

And even if you could study her, and figure out what it was about her that allowed her to time travel, would it even be possible to replicate for a general human?

I don't think this completely excludes the possibility of something Narnia-esque, where years in the Age pass, but you link back to mere moments after you left. It might be a thing that could happen.

But you'd have to come up for a very good reason why it happened- Why did someone write the Age? Was it a rogue age, or approved by the Maintainers? If it was approved, what role did it serve for the D'ni? They didn't tend to write "Lemme see what weird thing I can come up with!" Ages (that we know of... we do know Catherine does it, but that's because she's not D'ni trained and indoctrinated. Atrus looks at her early Ages going "But you can't *do* that...oh, wait..."), they made utilitarian, or decorative Ages.
